Laboratory Compliance Officer

Clinical Pathology Laboratories seeks a FT Compliance Officer responsible for  Division's Compliance Committee, advising managers and employees in regulatory compliance; maintaining the effectiveness of the Division Compliance Program, promoting a culture of compliance throughout the division, at both our Chantilly and Winchester facilities; serving as primary resource for Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement information; maintaining compliance with applicable federal and state rules and regulations pertaining to the laboratory industry; and acting as a consultative resource for reimbursement and regulatory issues.  Must have Bachelor of Science degree (preferably in Chemical, Biological, Medical Technology or Physical Science);  2-4 years experience in health care or laboratory compliance programs; familiarity with CLIA regulations, state laboratory laws and regulations, Medicare and Medicaid programs, state insurance laws, health care fraud and abuse laws, HIPAA regulations, and U.S. Sentencing Guidelines required, as well as knowledge of medical terminology and proficiency with diagnosis (ICD-9-CM) and CPT-4 coding.
