Online Test Ordering and Reporting
In a collaborative effort with Emdeon, CPL Mid-Atlantic is able to offer the newest, HIPAA compliant test reporting feature available via the internet. Cumulative reporting and many other features are available with the Emdeon Clinician product that is accessible from any internet connected PC. Clinician also has a web based Test Order Module that meets the specific requirements of CPL. Electronic test orders, ICD-9 code editing, and automated ABN printing is available. This is an ideal product for those offices with internet service. This communications solution is also available through an internet connected PC provided by CPL for those clients with the volume to support it.
Direct Laboratory Interface
CPL can develop a direct HL7 interface from your practice management system (EMR) to our Laboratory Information System (LIS). This solution would allow your practice to create a laboratory order directly in our LIS, provide patient demographic information and billing information from your practice management system, receive lab results and have them post in the EMR or patient chart.
High Speed Report Printer
CPL will install and maintain a high-speed laser tele-printer for receipt of clinical and anatomic reports. This communications solution is for clients that require expedited reporting and who have the volume to support it. The high-speed printer option in combination with the automated requisition print feature listed above (Physician Office Software) maximizes the efficiency of office staff when internet services are not a consideration.
Autofax Results
The CPL computer system will automatically fax patient reports to your fax machine. This service is generally reserved for the small client that does not qualify for an in-office printer, or the office that does not wish to have a printer installed.
